Anurag Basu's much-anticipated romantic drama, "Metro In Dino," which was released on July 4, 2025, has had a modest opening at the box office, with early estimates suggesting it collected around ₹3.35 crore on its first day.² While the film features a star-studded ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, and Konkona Sen Sharma, it seems to have struggled to draw large crowds on its debut.³

The film, which is positioned as a spiritual successor to Basu's 2007 hit "Life in a Metro," saw a relatively slow start with morning and afternoon shows.⁴ However, there was a noticeable pick-up in viewership during the evening and night shows, especially in metro cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru.⁵ The overall Hindi occupancy for the first day was approximately 17.99%, with night shows leading at 31.09%.
